Battlelines have been drawn once again between Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, this time over the appointment of police officers from Bihar to the anti-corruption bureau. Mr Jung has challenged the appointments saying only his office has the right to make them. This comes soon after the war over the appointment of the Chief Secretary, one that saw the courts involved over rights and jurisdictions of Centre and state in Delhi. As they adjudicate, what happens to the citizens of Delhi? A long hot summer looms, is governance the big casualty?
