Last positions held: Secretary ,Government of India Chief Secretary, Delhi Was Also: Chairman of Public Grievances Commission of Delhi, (2004-2006) Executive Director of the National Population Stabilisation Fund, GoI, (2006- 2009) Report writer for Ministry of Health on Indian Medicine and Government of Delhi on Delhi School Education Act and Rules. (2010-2013). Member of 2 person Committee appointed by National Green Tribunal to monitor abatement of pollution in River Yamuna. (2018-2021.Between 2012 and 2021. Chairman or member of Governing Bodies of Delhi University colleges, Delhi Public Library Board, leading NGOs and Independent Director of Company Boards.(2012 -2022 ) Tenure of some assignments has been completed and some are continuing. Mad about : Plants, especially bonsai; animals; learning new styles of quick cooking. Love food from the Konkan and French cuisine.
